We have spaces remaining for the Great North Swim at Lake Windermere this summer. Challenge yourself to an open water swim and help us keep fighting homelessness in our community!
The Great North Swim is taking place between the 12th – 14th June 2026 at Lake Windemere. We have a small number of charity spaces for the 1 mile swim remaining. If you would like to take part and fundraise to support homeless and vulnerably housed people in our community get in touch at businessdevelopment@thebridge-eastmidlands.org.uk as soon as possible!
The Great North Swim is fantastic event, held in one of the most beautiful locations in the whole of the UK. It is a great excuse to take a weekend away in the Lake District whilst supporting a great cause in the process! We will support you through the whole process, and will be at Lake Windermere in June to celebrate your incredible achievement.
The area around Windermere truly does come alive for the weekend. A celebration of those taking part in the swim is accompanied with local food and drink, activities for all the family, and a warm welcome for any four-legged friends you might be bringing along. You can read more about the event on the Great North Swim website.
To secure your place, we are asking for a small £35 deposit to help cover the entry fee and setting a fundraising target of £250 per place. We know that fundraising can be daunting, we are on hand to support your efforts in any way we can.
We can’t wait for the event, and we hope to see you at Lake Windermere this June!
